The MSWDO provides assistance to individuals and families who are victims of natural or man-made calamities such as typhoons, floods and fire.

It covers:

  1. Distribution of relief goods
  2. Delivery of free food commodities to evacuation centers
  • Provision of limited housing materials for families whose homes have been totally damaged
  1. Counseling for individuals and families who have been emotionally and totally damaged
  2. Counseling for individuals and families who have been emotionally and psychologically depressed by the disaster casualties.

TRAVEL CLEARANCE

  1. About The Service:

In relation to RA 7610 also known as the Special Protection of children against abuse, exploitation and discrimination, the role of conducting assessment to traveling minors, is mandated to our office, to be endorsed to the Regional Office for the issuance of TC to unaccompanied minors to ensure the safety of the minor at the same time a precautionary measure to prevent child trafficking

Requirements for Securing a Travel Clearance/Permit for Minors Traveling Abroad:

  1. Birth certificate on security paper (SECPA) of the minor
  2. Certified copy of Marriage certificate of minor’s parents, if appropriate
  3. Notarized affidavit of consent from parents/authorizing a particular person to accompany the child in his/her travel abroad
  4. Certified copy of any evidence to show financial capability of sponsor such as:
    1. Certificate of Employment
    2. Latest Income Tax Return
  • Bank Statement etc.

  2. Photocopy of passport of traveling companion

SECURING CERTIFICATES AT THE MUNICIPAL SOCIAL WELFARE & DEVELOPMENT OFFICE (CERTIFICATE OF INDIGENCY, SOLO PARENT ID, PWD’S ID)

  1. About The Service:

The Municipal Social Welfare & Development Office (MSWDO) provides various certifications for single parent, person with disability and indigent.

Certificate of Indigency is issued so that the less fortunate can avail of the privileges from the municipal as well as referrals to agencies to avail and apply for assistance such as: scholarship, Short term employment, medical services, free legal aid from Public Attorney’s Office (PAO), etc,

Solo Parent ID can be avail for additional leave and other benefits.

Person with Disability ID is availed by PWD’s for discount on fares and other benefits.
